Beware of impostors pretending to be Fathom!
We’ve recently seen fraudulent apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play that impersonate Fathom by using our name, logo, and branding. These apps are not affiliated with Fathom in any way.
Unfortunately, some users have mistakenly downloaded these impostor apps and even paid for subscriptions, thinking they were using the official Fathom product.
How to Spot an Impostor
Look closely at the developer name. The official Fathom app is published by Fathom Video, Inc.. Any other publisher is not us.
Check our website. The only official download links for Fathom are available at fathom.video.
Be cautious of copycats. If you see an app using our logo, name, or tagline but it is not linked from our site, it’s likely an impostor.
What to Do if You Downloaded an Impostor App
Cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play to prevent further charges.
Request a refund directly from the App Store.
Report the app to Apple or Google by tapping "Report a Problem" in the App Store listing.
Official Fathom App
At this time, Fathom does not have a standalone consumer-facing mobile app. If you see one in the App Store or Google Play store, it is not legitimate.
Stay Safe
We take impersonation seriously and report fraudulent apps to Apple when we find them. If you come across an app, website, or individual claiming to be Fathom that seems suspicious, please let us know at support@fathom.video.
