Customizing AI Summaries

💡 This feature is available to our Premium and Team Edition users.

Fathom offers 14 different summary types, 5 of which are fully customizable:

• General - capture any call's insights and key takeaways.

• Sales - unpack a prospect’s needs, challenges, and buying journey.

• Sales - SPICED - notes based on the sales methodology by Winning by Design.

• Sales - MEDDPICC - notes based on the popular sales methodology.

• Sales - BANT - notes based on the popular sales methodology.

1. Navigate to a call page in your Fathom account

2. Select a summary type from the list above

3. Click the gear icon next to the summary type:

🗒️ If you don't see a gear icon, that template isn't customizable.

4. Add as many -- or as few -- instructions as you'd like to let the system know how to update the template:

5. Click Regenerate Summary

6. If you'd like these changes to apply to all future uses of that template, wait for the revised summary to generate, then click the Apply to Future Summaries button:

Click the pencil icon to refine your custom instructions as many times as you'd like until you create the perfect summary!

To revert back to the default, just click the arrow button.

• Correcting name, place, or company misspellings

• Updating formatting preferences

• Increasing or decreasing the level of detail included

• Changing the tone of the summary

• Omitting certain topics from the summary
