Using Trackers
Trackers are available on Team and Business plans. If you don’t see Trackers yet, they may not be enabled for your team (or you may still see the older label Subscribed Searches). Ask a Team Admin to enable Trackers, or contact Support if you need help.
Trackers help you automatically monitor important moments across all your calls, such as competitor mentions, pricing discussions, objections, feature requests, or themes that matter to your team.
Trackers don’t rely on exact keywords. Instead, they use AI Search to detect moments based on meaning, even if the exact phrase wasn’t spoken.
What Trackers Do
Trackers allow you to:
Automatically detect themes across all recorded calls
Track moments, not just words
Get notifications when your Tracker finds matches (email and/or Slack, depending on your settings)
Review all matches in one place
Keep teams aligned on what matters most
Creating a Tracker
1. Go to the Trackers Tab
Open Fathom and click Trackers from the menu.
2. Click “Create Tracker”
You’ll see a list of examples, or you can start from scratch.
3. Describe what you want to track
Common Trackers include:
“Pricing objections”
“Competitor mentions”
“Customer pain points”
“Feature requests”
“Customer interest in integrations”
💡 Trackers use AI, so you don’t have to guess the exact words someone might say. Fathom will match the meaning, not just the phrase.
4. Save your Tracker
Your Tracker will immediately start scanning new calls for matching moments.
Notifications (Email + Slack)
Trackers can notify you in different ways depending on your settings:
Real-time notifications (for high-priority themes)
Daily digest
Weekly digest
You may also be able to route Tracker matches to Slack channels (if Slack is connected and your workspace settings allow it).
Weekly digest email: Account Admins & Team Admins subscribed to at least one Tracker may receive a weekly digest email summarizing Tracker activity from the past week.
FAQs
Will Trackers retroactively scan past calls?
No. Trackers start matching on calls recorded after the Tracker is created.
What’s the difference between a Tracker and a Playlist/Highlights?
Trackers automatically tag moments by theme. Playlists/Highlights are curated and typically manual.
